Although I have had many faces throughout the years, one thing is consistent, my story. My story is simple

• I love people
• I love traveling
• I love photographing them both.

Photographing weddings is about photographing the beginning of a particular families history. A new branch of the tree is created during the words, “I do.”  Although moms, dads, grooms, brides, or family friends may pay for my services, I am really working for those generations that will see my work ten to thirty years from now. Stories give meaning to mere facts and these stories are the ones that the grandsons and granddaughters will want to hear and ponder.

The scene in Finding Nemo where Nigel tells Nemo the story (the meaning) of his father’s efforts to get to him made me think about the power of story. It was a fact that marlin was searching for his son but it wasn’t until Nemo heard the story of what his father went through and is continuing to go through for him that put determination in his heart.

Hi Peter,

Thanks so much for the post coverage of our bridal event. I was glad to see you and Genevieve there. Modern Luxury is proud to be in partnership with such amazing talent! Although, I pride myself on hand picking you to photograph my wedding last year:) What I loved is that you have the ability to capture the spirits of the couples that you photograph. After hours of research I finally found a photographer’s work that made my heart race. The idea of having my special day captured through your eyes would be a dream come true! (so much so that I think I tried to talk you out of shooting the other wedding…but, as a man of integrity you would not cancel on your other bride..Lucky girl… Lesson learned…NOTE TO BRIDES…….BOOK YOUR DREAM PHOTOGRAPHER EARLY:) But- you and Genevieve fit us in for an engagement shoot.. (Lucky me) Michael and I could not be happier. We showcased your work at our reception and STILL have people asking us about who took “those breathtaking pictures” Not only will we treasure our photographs forever- we also had an amazing time that day and felt like we have known you and Genevieve forever. You are both amazing people and I am proud to know you both! Maybe, one day I will be able to move past that quiet lingering of the “green-eyed-monster” that creeps up when I see photographs of other beautiful brides that were able to have their special day documented by Peter Doyle.

Thank you so much for the wonderful wedding pictures, you captured so many moments that Joe and I missed because we were so busy with the ceremony and reception activities.
